Despite joking that he "just couldn't find the key for my hotel room," Farrell tells The Hollywood Reporter that he slept in his character Douglas Quaid's bed on the Total Recall set — with a pot of green tea, iPod, and incense to comfort him — so that he might more fully understand the life of a factory worker who is secretly a sleeper agent. No word on how he prepared for creepily kissing his director's wife on-camera.
