Recount and Game Change screenwriter Danny Strong has sold a pilot to CBS. David O. Russell is on board to direct the pilot — his first TV gig — and Robert De Niro's production company Tribeca films will produce the show. (Don't get too excited about the De Niro connection: Tribeca was behind NYC 22, too.) According to Deadline, the show is loosely based on New York's own father-daughter defense duo Murray and Stacey Richman. Doyle from Gilmore Girls, moving on up.
