“I hope you can stay strong and believe that I and many others like me who believe in free speech will do everything in our power to support you and your artistic freedom,” McCartney wrote in a letter posted on Twitter. Meanwhile, Alicia Silverstone wrote President Putin to request vegan meals for Maria Alekhina (who, it should be said, is, in fact, vegan.) The Pussy Riot verdict is out tomorrow.
