The drama about the legendary Egyptian queen will be written by Marc Seitzman (as part of an overall deal he has with ABC Studios, who are producing the project). It's described as a period drama with romance, magic, gods, and probably a few other things you rarely see combined this side of pay cable (not even AMC would dare.) NBC has made a few expensive mistakes with period dramas (RIP Playboy Club), but if they amp up the love-triangle aspect, add ancient proto-bikinis, and skip the bunny ears, anything's possible.
