Although this was a pretty good weekend for conservative documentaries — the RNC convention is around the corner, after all — it wasn't an amazing one for Premium Rush, the Joseph Gordon-Levitt project from Sony Pictures and producer and Vulture columnist Gavin Polone. The film opened in seventh place with what Deadline's Nikke Finke called "very soft grosses" of $6.5 million. As some of you may remember, earlier this month, Polone publicly called Finke out for her "nasty personal attacks, threatening people, and exhibiting general incivility." Finke, being her grumpy old self, obviously felt the need to jab at Polone in this weekend's box office round-up: "Guess it sucks to be Polone these days. Maybe he should make his day job writing that lame blog." Charming!
