As expected, Taylor Swift’s “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” absolutely killed in its first week out, selling a record 623,000 downloads and landing Swift her first No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.  It is officially your late-breaking Song of Summer.  But Vulture would like to draw your attention to the more pressing Taylor Swift news of the day, which concerns her ongoing romance with 18-year-old (and rising junior at Deerfield Academy) Conor Kennedy.  Taylor Swift crashed a Kennedy wedding last weekend, and the bride’s mother — Victoria Gifford Kennedy, wife of the late Michael Kennedy — is so pissed off that she is actually giving interviews about it.  Real, actual, quotes to newspapers! Her story goes like this: Conor was apparently invited to the wedding, but didn’t RSVP. “They texted me an hour before the wedding and asked if they could come,” she told the Boston Herald.  “I responded with a very clear ‘Please do not come.’ They came anyway.”  Okay, that’s pretty rude, but the lack of RSVP is probably on Conor, right? Wasp-y teenage entitlement and whatnot?  “I personally went up to Ms. Swift, whose entrance distracted the entire event, politely introduced myself to her, and asked her as nicely as I could to leave.”  Wait for it.  “It was like talking to a ghost.  She seemed to look right past me.”  Taylor Swift is getting trashed by the Kennedys! Also, Taylor Swift is kind of, sort of (blankly) misbehaving.  It is a magical time to be a person who reads tabloids.
