70s/80s Sitcom Kingpin Garry Marshall Returning to TV with ‘Golden Guys’

Garry Marshall, former sitcom heavyweight best known for producing and creating Happy Days and spinoffs Laverne & Shirley and Mork & Mindy, just sold a new show to Fox that he wrote with his son, Scott Marshall. The prospective series, Golden Guys, is a multi-camera family comedy about a wealthy guy who gets scammed out of his fortune and has to move back in with his family. After his sitcom days in the 70sand 80s, Garry Marshall began working on films, directing Pretty Woman, The Princess Diaries, and most recently, New Year’s Eve. If it gets picked up to series, Golden Guys will be Marshall’s first TV show since that guy Reagan was in office.
