Game of Thrones deservedly reined supreme at last night’s Creative Emmys ceremony, coming away with six awards — twice as many as runner-up and fellow HBO property Boardwalk Empire. Close behind: Downton Abbey and Homeland both got two prizes. (These four series, along with Mad Men and Breaking Bad, will go head-to-head at next Saturday’s Primetime Emmys in the outstanding drama category.) Other notable tallies include four Emmys for Saturday Night Live and three for the History channel’s surprisingly well-received Hatfields & McCoys. Tune in next weekend for round two.
