Though he’s not able to actually visit Broadway, it seems that Roman Polanski remains a dedicated fan of the Great White Way. The filmmaker has announced that he’ll follow his last film, Carnage, with another theatrical adaptation: Venus in Fur, which he co-scripted with playwright David Ives. Nina Arianda recently won the Tony for the play, which sets up a power play between a director and auditioning actress; Polanski has cast his wife Emmanuelle Seigner in Arianda’s role, with Louis Garrel set opposite her.
