When Garfunkel and Oates Met John Oates

It goes without saying that the comedy singing duo Garfunkel and Oates love Hall & Oates: They adopted half of its membership's name for their band, for Pete's sake. So imagine the thrill when John Oates himself wrote on their MySpace page (hey, it was 2008). Now imagine the bigger thrill when he asked them to open up for him. In this latest installment of Vulture and UCB's "Pop Culture Memory Lane" series, puppets and animation help Riki "Garfunkel" Lindhome and Kate "Oates" Micucci tell the tale of their "Maneater" moment and why it is not recorded for posterity.
