Though Liam Neeson’s Taken 2 held on to the top weekend box office spot for a second week in a row, the George Clooney-produced, Ben Affleck-directed Oscar frontrunner Argo was the top opener pulling in $20.1 million. Close behind, with $18.1 million, was the horror flick Sinister, followed several pegs below by Seven Psychopaths, which underperformed studio expectations by 40 percent despite In Bruges director Martin McDonagh’s something-for-everyone cast, which includes Christopher Walken, Sam Rockwell, Woody Harrelson, Abbie Cornish, Tom Waits, and Colin Farrell.
