Chevy Chase had another offensive workplace outburst on the set of Community this past Friday, according to TVLine. Chase reportedly “dropped the N-word on the set” of the NBC comedy (in front of African American cast members Donald Glover and Yvette Nicole Brown), apparently because he was struggling with some portion of his (bigoted) character Pierce Hawthorne’s dialogue. Production was halted until Chase, who’s reportedly unhappy with how unlikeable his role has become, called the cast and crew together to issue a formal apology. Regardless, this is not good for Chase, whose reputation is already pretty sore after his very public (and nasty) feud with Dan Harmon.*

* This post originally erroneously said Community premiered on Friday, October 19th; as you know from your own simmering rage, that date has been indefinitely postponed.
