Green Day's Hard Times Aren't Over

NEW YORK - JUNE 13: (L-R) Musicians Mike Dirnt, Billy Joe Armstrong and Tre Cool of Green Day attend the 64th Annual Tony Awards at Radio City Music Hall on June 13, 2010 in New York City. (Photo by Bryan Bedder/Getty Images) *** Local Caption *** Mike Dirnt;Billy Joe Armstrong;Tre Cool

Unless you're willing to believe Green Day was happy to take a bath on a ton of canceled and postponed tour dates in the middle of a triple-album release, Billie Joe Armstrong's rehabilitation appears to be a serious thing. The trio have scrapped their remaining 2012 gigs and bumped almost two dozen shows set originally set for early next year. As compensation, the third album in the cycle, ¡Tre!, will release a month ahead of schedule, on Dec. 11. ¡Dos! drops Nov. 9.
