Sir Ian McKellen is heading to TV, according to a story in the not-always-reliable Daily Star. We want to believe, though. The series is called Vicious Old Queens (see?) and would co-star Derek Jacobi; he and McKellen would play two gay men living together in London’s Covent Gardens neighborhood. A rep for the U.K.’s ITV tells Vulture that the report is “purely speculative” but declined to call it false, which gives us a tiny sliver of hope. Ian McKellen British sitcom, guys! Dare to dream!
