James Franco Wants to Make a Whole Album of Spoken-Word Motown-y Music

And here is the latest on James Franco’s new band, Daddy: “We have another project that we’re working on. I guess if we complete all the songs, it’ll be a full-length album, 10-12 songs … It’s a little different; the style’s not quite Motown but has a similar vibe.” As long as we’re doing this, Vulture hopes he keeps the “not quite Motown” thing going until Daddy decides to release a holiday album, because Motown Christmas jams are the best.
