Kelly Lynch proved quite thoroughly in an interview with the A.V. Club that if you hang around Hollywood long enough, you’ll have plenty of crazy stories. Stories like how kickball enthusiast Bill Murray and his brothers call Lynch’s husband, writer Mitch Glazer, every time Road House is on to say, “Kelly’s having sex with Patrick Swayze right now. They’re doing it. He’s throwing her against the rocks.” Bill even called him once from Russia because he’s the best.

She also told the interviewer that when Denzel Washington realized he was working with an inexperienced director on Virtuosity, he decided to basically take over and rewrite the entire script. Specifically, he took out the love story because, as he explained to Kelly, “White men bring women to movies, and they don’t want to watch a black man with their woman.” And we thought he could play any role.

Obviously not hesitant to give up dirt, she offered this up when discussing how director Michael Cimino wanted her to basically look like a drag queen in Desperate Hours: “And I didn’t know at the time that Michael was kind of … interested in dressing like a woman. That’s the Michael Cimino we know today, but at the time I didn’t know what his issues were with femininity and all those things.” BOOM! Just like that, confirming rumors that have been swirling about Cimino for decades.

On lighter notes, she also reveals that Tom Cruise is “a really good kisser” and that Leslie Nielsen is really good at whoopee-cushioning. One of those things is not surprising.
