Here we go: NBC, which began rolling out its new shows earlier than the other networks, is now starting to extend the lives of some of its fall freshmen. The network has just ordered additional episodes of new drama Revolution and first-year comedies Go On and The New Normal. Revolution is a certifiable hit, while the comedies have been doing well on Tuesdays; both shows have been boosted by NBC’s smart decision to schedule them behind The Voice. The Peacock won the first week of the season (really!) and, as we noted earlier today, is off to its best start in years. Meanwhile, no word yet on any fall cancellations, but CBS’s Partners is on death watch after last night’s second episode once again struck out with Eye viewers. The Mob Doctor also continues to fade on Fox.
