Despite a script from John Logan (Gladiator, Hugo, the forthcoming Skyfall and Noah) and Jon Favreau attached to direct, Jersey Boys is heading into turnaround at Warner Bros. The adaptation was/is eyeing a cast including Paul Dano, James Badge Dale, and Boardwalk Empire’s Vincent Piazza. Variety says Warner was never overly enthusiastic about the project, partially because its story could have low international appeal.
