Casey Affleck wants to solve a Boston murdah.

Continuing in the great American tradition of Boston actors finding ways to play Bostonians in movies, Deadline is reporting that Casey Affleck will produce and likely star in Boston Strangler, a thriller about sixties-era, you guessed it, Boston. Being compared to Se7en and Zodiac, the film will focus on what many consider one of the most baffling unsolved murder cases ever. Affleck hopes to play one of the detectives working to solve the mystery of thirteen murdered women, which may or may not have involved a government cover-up. To prepare for the role, he’s been working on the character’s catchphrase: “Ahre you that wicked Bahston stranglah queeyah?”
