J.K. Rowling’s Casual Vacancy Will Be a TV Show

J.K. Rowling's novel The Casual Vacancy, non-magical in the senses both that it is not about wizards et al nor is it wildly enchanting otherwise, is set to become a television show for BBC 1. Rowling will "collaborate closely" on the show, according to THR, but there's no set number of episodes or anything just yet. Casual should premiere some time in 2014, at which point everyone can start lobbying again for a Harry Potter TV show, too.
