Senate Invites Steven Spielberg to Screen Lincoln in the Senate Itself

Deadline is reporting that Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has invited Steven Spielberg to screen Lincoln on December 12 in front of the Senate. (Sucks for you, House of Representatives.) Sure, films screen at the White House all the time — including Lincoln, which Obama watched on November 15 — but the Senate is a different story. Spielberg has yet to respond, but it’s being reported that he’s likely to agree. Afterward, we hear that Harry Reid is also organizing a Lincoln-impression contest. The always-competitive Mitch McConnell has already purchased a goat to start practicing.
