This is the Seth Rogen–gets-all-of-his-funny-friends-together-to-be-funny-and-act-like-the-world-is-ending movie. Some of those friends appear in the trailer (James Franco, Jonah Hill, Jay Baruchel, Danny McBride, Craig Robinson) and are apparently the film's stars, others are alluded to (Michael Cera, David Krumholtz, Jason Segel) and apparently die in the movie, and we'll have to hope the apocalypse doesn't come so we can see the rest (Aziz Ansari, Rihanna, Paul Rudd, Martin Starr, Mindy Kaling, etc.). Everyone plays themselves as they band together to survive the end of the world. Besides co-writing it (though the film looks like it'll be very improvised), Rogen and his usual collaborator Evan Goldberg are directing for the first time. If there's still a world filled with movie theaters and people who go to movie theaters, This Is the End (formerly titled Jay and Seth Versus the Apocalypse, The End of the World, and The Apocalypse) is set to come out on June 14. Hopefully there is, because how else will we find out what happen to Craig Robinson's pants?
