Zoe Bell’s masked character was easily one of the most confounding parts of Django Unchained. Something was up with her, but what? E! was able to get an answer from her at the premiere of Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters. She explained: “There was backstory and there was to be a fight sequence … But I guess when you’re getting such brilliant shit with Leo [Dicaprio] and Jamie [Foxx] and Christoph [Waltz], you just keep shooting and time kind of got crunchy.” Meaning her scenes weren’t even shot and won’t be included in an extended director’s cut. So what was the deal with that mask?! Bell put it simply, “Part of my face was missing.” Seriously, can we get a Django sequel just about her character’s missing half-face?
