Relativity Media has bought the U.S. distribution rights to Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s sizzling directorial debut Don Jon’s Addiction (also written by and starring him) at Sundance. Apparently it went for a healthy sum ($4 million?) and will premiere on about 2,000 screens this summer. “I couldn’t be happier, it’s what I always wanted for this movie,” Gordon-Levitt says in a video over at hitRECord. “I always intended for it to be for a big, popular mass audience, and that’s what’s gonna happen, it looks like.” Featuring Scarlett Johansson, Julianne Moore, Tony Danza, Channing Tatum, and Anne Hathaway, the film digs into a porn/life dichotomy, one Gordon-Levitt told Vulture “can be sad and it can ruin relationships, but to me, it’s head-slappingly funny.”
