Earlier this week, David Bowie threw his own surprise birthday party with the announcement of a new album — his first in ten years. The diehards dared to hope that a Bowie tour might also be in the works, but sorry: His producer Tony Visconti says that “he’s fairly adamant he’s never gonna perform live again.” Oh. Just the album, then. Okay!
