Two weeks ago, we learned that David Fincher has been in talks to direct the adaptation of Gillian Flynn’s smash Gone Girl. Well, it appears the adaptation of another one of Flynn’s novels, Dark Places, is also taking major steps forward, with Charlize Theron in talks to star. In a part Amy Adams was once attached to, Theron would play a woman who investigates whether her brother was truly responsible for the murder of their family. Yep, that sounds like a pretty “dark place.”
