Jimmy Fallon won his first Grammy last night. Blow Your Pants Off, a collection of songs from his talk show Late Night that features appearances from Paul McCartney, Bruce Springsteen, Justin Timberlake, and Eddie Vedder, took the “Best Comedy Album” prize. This was Fallon’s second-ever album. His first album, 2002’s The Bathroom Wall, also received a Grammy nomination when it was released but lost out to Robin Williams - Live 2002. The others nominated this time around were Jim Gaffigan, Tenacious D, Margaret Cho, and Kathy Griffin. Last year’s winner was Louis C.K. for Hilarious. Jimmy Fallon was not present at the early pre-show ceremony during which the Grammys announced the comedy award because who goes to early pre-show Grammy ceremonies anyway?
