Fox has announced a December 25, 2014 release date for its sequel Night at the Museum 3. Shawn Levy will return to direct, and star Ben Stiller will be back too. There’s no word on whether co-writers Tom Lennon and Ben Garant or supporting cast members like Robin Williams, Owen Wilson, and Ricky Gervais will return, but it seems likely that most of them will be back. 2006’s Night at the Museum saw Stiller patrolling New York’s Museum of Natural History, and 2009’s sequel found him keepin’ watch over DC’s Smithsonian, but the announcement from Fox doesn’t mention which famous museum the third installment will take Stiller, his flashlight, and perplexed facial expression to. My pitch is for it to be The Church of Scientology’s “Psychiatry: An Industry of Death” Museum. Fox, I’m awaiting your call.
