Steve Carell Will Star in a Movie About an FBI Wedding

Steve Carell is attached to star in and produce a new comedy revolving around an FBI wedding, Deadline reports. Writer David Flebotte (Boardwalk Empire, Will & Grace) has been hired to re-write a script by Phil Alden Robinson (Field of Dreams, All of Me). There’s no word on what the plot entails, but the story has been described as being similar to Stakeout and My Best Friend’s Wedding. Carell has been keeping especially busy with movies lately. He’ll next be seen in the magician comedy The Incredible Burt Wonderstone next month, with roles in Despicable Me, Nat Faxon and Jim Rash’s The Way, Way Back, true crime drama Foxcatcher, and the long-awaited sequel to Anchorman, which starts filming next month, so he clearly has plenty of reasons to be skipping the Office finale (besides that whole “not wanting to ruin Michael Scott’s character arc” thing).
