Way back in July, we learned that Conan O’Brien was producing a talk-show pilot for comedian Pete Holmes. Today, TBS announced they have picked up the show for sixteen episodes that will premiere in the fall. The show will air Monday through Thursday at midnight for a half-hour, directly following Conan, and feature a combination of interviews and comedy pieces. Holmes is one of the bigger young stand-ups working. His hour special is scheduled to debut later this year on Comedy Central. He also has developed a loyal fan base through his very popular podcast, “You Made It Weird.” That’s a good place to start if you want to get a sense of what to expect next fall. Or even better, by self-promotion standards, is the interview he conducted for Vulture with fellow comedian Anthony Jeselnik.
