It feels like Marc Maron’s IFC show, Maron, has been in development or shooting for forever. Well, it finally has a hard premiere date: May 3. The show is about a comedian named Marc Maron who has a podcast in which he interviews people in his garage. (Sound familiar?) Judd Hirsch will play his dad (which is pretty perfect), Nora Zehetner (Mad Men) will play his girlfriend, comedian Andy Kindler will play his good friend, and Josh Brener his assistant. Since much of the show will be made up of fake, “WTF”-like interviews, there will be plenty of guest stars, including Mark Duplass, Jeff Garlin, Aubrey Plaza, Adam Scott, and Ken Jeong. Vulture wonders if his cats will play his cats or if they cast famous cats.
