You know how you’re always like, “I loved Cars, but I hated looking at the street all the time”? Well, do we have a movie for you: Planes. A spinoff of Cars, Planes tells the story of Dusty (Dane Cook), a crop-dusting plane who wants to compete in an around-the-world race. (Wait one second: Why are there crops in an all-plane world? What do they grow? Windshield-wiper fluid?) The film was originally conceived and produced to go direct to DVD; however, Disney changed its mind, giving it a theatrical release date of August 9. Update your calendars accordingly, for this summer we must learn about the cultivation of plane crops.
