House creator David Shore has tapped British comedian Steve Coogan (The Trip, Tropic Thunder, Our Idiot Brother) to lead a new ABC pilot called Doubt. The legal drama will feature Coogan as Vincent, "a former cop who's now a cunning but charming low-rent lawyer who uses his street smarts to work the system for his clients while battling his own demons and wooing his ex-wife." It will mark Coogan's American series debut, which was the same deal for Hugh Laurie with House.
