Last night on The Late Show, James Franco was out touting Spring Breakers and the "revolutionary" work of its maker, Harmony Korine, whom David Letterman had banned in 1998, for reasons only speculated until yesterday. "I went upstairs [to the green room] to greet Meryl Streep," recounted Letterman. "I looked around and found your friend, Harmony, going through her purse." Apparently, that wasn't the version of the story that Harmony had told James Franco, who, in spite of his surprise, still came to his friend's defense. "I think he had a period where he was going a little off the rails, so maybe he was on something that night." But he is "a very sane guy now." And with that fervent recommendation from Professor Franco, Letterman rescinded the ban. And all rumors of Meryl Streep getting shoved can now be put to rest. Plus: The lights went out on Late Night. And Jimmy Fallon glided over that glitch with the finesse of a Tonight Show host. Also, the Game of Thrones cast were in full promotion mode ahead of its March 31 return: Peter Dinklage had Jon Stewart cracking up over a Medieval raven impression, and Jimmy Kimmel embarrassed poor Nikolaj Coster-Waldau. You just can't hide from your past nowadays. Watch our compilation to see what you missed.
