It’s been a week. (Head over to Daily Intelligencer if this is not abundantly clear.) It’s been hard not to immerse oneself in everything that is happening, and it’s hard to know how to react. Well, Amy Poehler has some advice. In the most recent episode of her web series “Ask Amy,” she confronts our desire to take in all of the gruesome and terrifying and tragic images and videos: “I wonder if we can give our eyes a break.” Her answer is a simple one: “Be okay with letting some things rest in peace.”
