Randall Miller and Jody Savin, the duo behind the forthcoming Alan Rickman-starring CBGB, are now putting together a Gregg Allman movie based on the 2012 memoir My Cross to Bear. While the man’s name doesn’t scream biopic, baby! the way Johnny Cash or Ray Charles did, the 65-year-old Allman has lead a fascinating life — he married Cher and five other women, ingested an Allman Brothers-esque amount of drugs, and lived through the tragic deaths of his brother and his bassist in the span of a year.
