Word came in a month ago that Whose Line Is It Anyway? would be returning to TV on the CW network this summer, and today, the CW has announced the official premiere date: July 16th. The show will begin airing Tuesdays at 8pm throughout the summer. While Drew Carey is not returning, Whose Line trifecta Ryan Stiles, Colin Mochrie, and Wayne Brady will be back with guest performers joining them. Aisha Tyler will step in to fill Drew Carey’s host shoes. The new season starts taping in LA this month. The show will be pulling guest performers from Stiles’s Washington-based Upfront Theater, and they’ve been auditioning UCB performers, as well. If they’re not lining Richard Simmons up to be a guest, it’ll be a giant missed opportunity.
