With the departures of Fred Armisen and Bill Hader from SNL last week, their fellow longtime cast member has been rumored to be leaving, as well. Sudeikis addressed the exit talk on an appearance on The View yesterday (video below), telling Barbara Walters he feels “honored to get hardballed” by the question. “I don’t know. I sincerely don’t know at this point,” he responded when asked if he’ll be back in the fall. “I’ve got to deal with saying goodbye to some near dear friends that are definitely leaving and get that out of my head and go on vacation a little bit and mull it all over.”
A source on the show told The Post last week that Jason Sudeikis was “probably” leaving and cast member Jay Pharoah tweeted a goodbye to Armisen, Hader, and Sudeikis before promptly removing it, a possible indication that he’s still making his decision. If Sudeikis does end up staying, SNL will have to work around his busy movie schedule, with him set to begin filming Horrible Bosses 2 late this summer and the romantic comedy Tumbledown starting in October.
