Bad news for those looking forward to Johnny Depp’s attempt at a Boston accent: Sources tell The Hollywood Reporter that the actor has exited Black Mass, the biopic about Boston mobster Whitey Bulger. As these things go, it came down to money. Depp originally signed on at his standard cost, $20 million; however, after the film’s producers struggled to sell the project in Cannes, the budget was cut and Depp was asked to accept half as much. Depp said no and left the project. Man, just like a true gangster, Depp gots to get his. That being said, we would all do anything for that $10 million, please.
