Rick Moranis Has a New Album Out Soon

Beloved comedian Rick Moranis is resurfacing to release a new album. The actor announced on his website, RickMoranis.com, that he’s recorded an album called My Mother’s Brisket & Other Love Songs that you’ll be able to pre-order from the site on May 21st. After retiring from the movie industry in the late ‘90s, this is the first we’ve seen of Moranis since he released his Grammy-nominated album The Agoraphobic Cowboy in 2005. After Moranis’s wife tragically died from cancer in 1991, he stepped away from his movie career a few years later, later explaining, “I’m a single parent, and I just found that it was too difficult to manage raising my kids and doing the traveling involved in making movies. So I took a little bit of a break. And the little bit of a break turned into a longer break, and then I found that I really didn’t miss it.” Hopefully, this album is the start of some sort of comeback that involves him taking his first on-screen role since 1996, which hopefully won’t be in Ghostbusters III. A Rick Moranis comeback is something we need, but a shoddy Bill Murray-less Ghostbusters sequel is not.
