TNT has green-lit a new drama, Legends, based on Robert Littell’s spy novel of the same name, the network announced today. The show will premiere in 2014. Sean Bean will star as the greatest undercover agent the FBI has ever had — but is there something more sinister at play? (Yes! Probably! That’s how these shows work!) Homeland’s Howard Gordon is among the show’s executive producers, and Sleeper Cell creators Ethan Reiff and Cyrus Voris will serve as showrunners. Espionage drama cred achieved! We’re approaching the saturation point on these “normal-looking guy has a huge, violent secret” shows, but at least this one has Ned Stark/Boromir.
