The sports and entertainment worlds collided last night at the annual ESPY awards — and so did politics. Former Saturday Night Live chameleon Bill Hader joined telecast host Jon Hamm for a sketch parodying the recent news of an alleged 2005 theft of New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft’s Super Bowl ring by Vladimir Putin, a bonkers revelation the Russian president has refuted. In the clip below, Hader adopts a Russian accent, mocks Hamm’s role in “the TV show you do about smoking cigarettes,” and, adding insult to injury, flaunts a Golden Globe statuette he claims to have stolen from the Mad Men star.
