Glee star Cory Monteith has died at the age of 31. The actor, who shot to fame just four years ago as Finn Hudson on the Fox musical dramedy, was found dead in a Vancouver hotel room Saturday, local police said. Authorities said Monteith’s body was discovered in a room at the city’s Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel Saturday morning. “When he missed his check-out time, staff went to the room at noon and found his body,” according to a statement on the department’s website, adding that “all indications are that there was no foul play.” Police said security camera footage shows that Monteith, a Canadian native, returned to his room “by himself in the early morning hours … [W]e believe he was alone when he died.” Monteith didn’t appear in the final two episodes of Glee last season, missing work in order to check into rehab for substance abuse in late March. Police did not reveal any cause of Monteith’s death, saying an autopsy is scheduled for Monday.
