Technically, this has been true since Watch the Throne — the album credits him as JAY Z — but now he’s getting serious about it. (By “serious,” we mean letting one Billboard editor say something on Twitter.) Anyway, condolences to the hyphen, which will now join Jay’z umlaut in Rapper Punctuation Heaven; it’s just Jay Z from now on.
