Comedy duo Casey Wilson and June Diane Raphael are developing a new show together. Deadline reports that Wilson and Raphael have signed a script deal with the network for a project that would star Raphael. Wilson doesn’t have a deal to star in the show but she could end up doing so anyway. There’s no word on what the plot of the project will be, but it’s in development for next season.
Both Casey Wilson and June Diane Raphael are staying at ABC after working for the network last season. Wilson starred on ABC’s recently-canceled Happy Endings, while Raphael acted in the pilot Pulling, which the network passed on. Wilson and Raphael, who met in a clown class at NYU and have been writing and performing together for years, recently scripted and starred in the independent movie Ass Backwards, which is awaiting release.
