Marvel Repositions Ant-Man As a Summer Tentpole Rather Than an Autumn Oddball

Marvel, in its infinite capacity to supersize its heroes to cinema size, has some semi-unusual (non-Iron Man-y, at least) flicks coming up in James Gunn's Guardians of the Galaxy and Edgar Wright's Ant-Man. The latter has now shifted its release date from Nov. 6, 2015 to July 31, 2015, two weeks after Zack Snyder's Batfleck vs. Superman opens. The appropriate response is: Holy shit, how great does Marvel think Ant-Man's gonna be? Or, as Collider put it, "If you were to pick a comic book character that would have to go head-to-head with Superman and Batman, would you choose Ant-Man?"
