Though an official announcement isn’t expected until Sunday, the AP — citing “a person familiar with the NFL’s entertainment plans” — reported Saturday that Bruno Mars has been asked to sing for this year’s Super Bowl halftime show. The 27-year-old is an unsurprising choice given his recent Grammy and VMA wins, though we doubt his fedora has what it takes to kill the lights at Jersey’s MetLife Stadium. We’ll just have to wait until February to find out for sure. Update: It’s Mars. Yup.
