Irish comedian Dylan Moran has signed a deal with ABC to create and star in his own pilot, Deadline reports. It’s Moran’s first time working in American television, having co-created and starred in the beloved British sitcom Black Books. Moran also appeared in Shaun of the Dead and Run Fatboy Run, and he is returning for another tour of the US this October. There’s no information yet about the show, but if his past work is any indication, it’s likely to include a smoking, drinking, sardonic Irishman.
