When director Alex Gibney started working on his Lance Armstrong documentary in 2009, the cyclist occupied a very different position in the pop-athletic landscape. But as the film approached completion, allegations against Armstrong became a lot more credible, and in 2010 Gibney scrapped a bunch of the movie and wound up with a very different film. What was going to be The Road Back is now The Armstrong Lie, and here's the movie's first trailer. "I certainly was very confident that I would never be caught," Armstrong says in a clip. Yeah, no kidding.
