Judd Apatow, Seth Rogen, Paul Rudd, and Leslie Mann Are Guesting on the Same ‘Simpsons’ Episode

Pretty much the entire Apatow gang is heading to Springfield. Writer/director Judd Apatow and his frequent actors Seth Rogen, Paul Rudd, and Leslie Mann all lent their voices to an upcoming episode of The Simpsons, EW reports. The episode, called “Steal This Episode,” airs in January and follows Homer getting into movie piracy. Judas Priest frontman Rob Halford, Channing Tatum, and Will Arnett (as an FBI guy) also guest in the episode. This marks a second Simpsons appearance for Rudd and Rogen and a first for everyone else.

The plot concerns Homer getting into trouble after he starts screening pirated movies for everyone in Springfield in his backyard. One of the movies he screens is a This Is 40-esque Apatow comedy-drama called Life Is Funny that stars Rudd and Mann. Apatow testifies Homer after he gets caught by the law, and Rogen and Tatum cameo as themselves. Simpsons writer/producer Matt Selman tells EW that the end features “a crazy twist where Rudd returns in a super meta thing that people may or may not understand.” This season of The Simpsons, as previously reported, will also feature (an updated version of) a Simpsons episode that Judd Apatow wrote as a writing sample in 1990
